I've been working on some art for the last several months with a separate web site to display this art.

Kidnappers/Killers of Five American Troops Captured

BAGHDAD — The U.S. military said Thursday it had captured the leaders of a Shiite insurgent network responsible for kidnapping and killing five American troops — one of the boldest and most sophisticated attacks on U.S. soldiers in the war in Iraq.

The statement said the arrests took place over the past three days in the cities of Basra and Hillah south of Baghdad. The military said the network was led by Qais Khazali and his brother Laith Khazali. Several other members of the network also were captured.

The network was "directly connected" to the January kidnapping and murder of the Americans in the holy city of Karbala, 50 miles south of Baghdad, the military said.

Pat Tillman's Former Teammate Now Marine

HONOLULU (AP) - A former NFL player who joined the Marines and was motivated by college roommate Pat Tillman, who died in Afghanistan, was heading for the war in Iraq Tuesday night.

Lance Cpl. Jeremy Staat, a former defensive lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers and St. Louis Rams who had been playing Arena Football, was one of 300 Marines in the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment being deployed from Kaneohe Bay. The unit is expected to be in Iraq for seven months.

"The way I look at it, we're spreading freedom, and you have to support the troops and you have to support the war," Staat, 29, told KITV in Honolulu on Tuesday as he prepared to leave from Hawaii. "You can't just tell some Marine who just lost his buddy that we supported you but not the war, because in that case you're basically saying that Marine, his buddy, just died for nothing. We're one team."

Boyhood Friend and Teacher Say Obama Was Muslim

The issue of Sen. Barack Obama's Muslim past has surfaced again as his campaign steps back from its flat denial that he ever belonged to the Islamic faith.

Earlier this year several media outlets reported that Obama had attended a radical madrasa, or Islamic school, when he lived in Indonesia. At the time, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs declared: "To be clear, Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ in Chicago."

The report about the radical madrasa turned out to be false.

Now, in a statement to the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday, Gibbs amended that declaration, saying: "Obama has never been a practicing Muslim," the key word being "practicing."

But a boyhood friend of Obama in Indonesia, Zulfin Adi, told the Times: "His mother often went to the church, but Barry [Barack's name at the time] was Muslim. He went to the mosque."

The Times sent a reporter to Jakarta, capital of the Muslim nation, to delve into an issue that could have a serious impact on the Democratic presidential candidate's White House aspiration, as voters "react to a candidate with an early exposure to Islam, a religion that remains foreign to many Americans," the Times noted.

Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama Sr., a Kenyan, and Kansas-born Ann Dunham. The couple separated when Barack was 2. They later divorced, and Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, a Muslim. In 1967, the family moved to Jakarta, where Obama was known as Barry Soetoro, and he remained there from age 6 to 10.

Obama attended first grade at a Catholic elementary school near his home, St. Francis of Assisi Foundation School, which accepted students of any religion.

His first-grade teacher Israella Dharmawan told the Times: "At that time, Barry was also praying in a Catholic way, but Barry was Muslim. He was registered as a Muslim because his father was Muslim."

In the third grade, Obama transferred to a public school, where he was also registered as a Muslim.

Muslim students at the school attended weekly religion lessons about Islam, taught by a Muslim.

In his autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," Obama mentions studying the quran and describes the public school as "a Muslim school."

Boyhood friend Adi said Obama occasionally went to Friday prayers at a local mosque.

"We prayed but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque," he told the Times.

Sometimes, when the call to prayer sounded, Barry and Lolo would walk to the mosque together, Adi added.

Obama's half-sister Maya Soetoro, in a statement issued Wednesday by the Obama campaign, said the family attended the mosque only for "big communal events."

New revelations about Obama's Muslim past could provide ammunition for his critics — and political opponents.

One such critic is Chicago-based Internet journalist and broadcaster Andy Martin, a lawyer and consumer advocate who wrote earlier about Obama's connection to Islam.

Reacting to the claim from Obama's sister that the family went to the mosque only for "big communal events," Martin wrote on Thursday: "Tens of millions of 'Christians' flock to churches for Easter and Christmas. And they would slap you down if you told them they were not Christians merely because they only appear twice a year for 'big communal events.'"

He also wrote: "Obama no longer denies he was a Muslim. Now he says he wasn't a 'practicing' Muslim.

Set-ups, Trial Lawyers, and imams

In an example of anyone can be sued by anyone for any reason, the terrorist-acting imams* asked to leave a Minneapolis outbound flight last year are now suing passengers for reporting their suspicious behaviors.

The airline was previously named as a defendant in the suit.

The trial lawyers (John Edwards is a trial lawyer) involved are aiding and abetting terrorism. Some believe the imams were setting this up from the beginning so as to sue and gain monetary rewards.

Yes, they did set this up (go ahead, sue me) so as to later file a lawsuit, but their real reasons were more sinister.

You see, their suit against the airline, and now the passengers creates a climate of fear. No, not a fear of being blown out of the sky but a fear of being sued.

Airlines and passengers in the future will be less likely to report strange behaviour the next time a muslim does something suspicious for fear of being sued.

This is what the imams wanted from the start; to make people afraid to report information and make airlines hesitant to take necessary actions.

Trial lawyers are aiding and abetting the next terrorist attack.

Incomprehensible is Republicans understand that we are at war and understand what kind of an enemy we are facing. We know we must attack terrorists on many different fronts including militarily, diplomatically with other nations, and financially for our terrorist enemies are relentless.

Senator Schumer, aided by the national media, made it appear as if the president and his staff did something wrong by firing eight federal prosecutors. This ability is a constitutional allowance. In fact, the Clinton so called administration fired 93 of 94 federal prosecutors in 1993.

Perhaps Republicans were afraid to get between Senator Schumer and a television camera.

I suggest, that if soldiers and Marines can daily face enemy attacks, Republicans can find the backbones to stand up to the lies, distortions, and half-truths.

The left, acting with emotions and not logic, is easy to upset. The left thought that if Pelosi became Speaker, they could prevail and cause us to lose the Iraq war.

New York Times Spanks Al "The Sky Is Falling" Gore

The New York Times, in a stunning smack down of Al Gore, told Monsieur Comrade Gore to stop his exaggerations and alarmist rhetoric following Mr. Gore's anti-capitalist propaganda movie about so-called global warming. In a special science column quoting reputable scientists, the Times finally came clean saying in essence if there is global warming, Al Bore is causing it from the hot air released during his speeches.

Curious political observers speculate as to the reason behind the Times' unprovoked attack. It could be that Mr. Bore is discrediting the movement. It was revealed that in addition to liberal usage of private jets to fly all around the world to obtain speaker fees in the low six figures, Mr. Gore's private home uses 20 times the average energy of a typical American homeowner.

Further, after the United Nation's IPCC report about alleged global warming released information that livestock put forth more global warming gases than all human induced causes, PETA (not People Eating Tasty Animals) called Mr. Gore onto the carpet. They said Mr. Gore would be a hypocrite (shudder!!!!) if he continued eating meat.

Others believe the Clintons were behind the written attack just in case Mr. Gore gets too uppity and decides to get in Hillary's way.

We may never learn the real reason behind The New York Times finally moving close to the line of truth, but one thing is for certain; to the left, Mr. Gore is no longer a useful idiot. He is just an idiot.

How to Defeat Democraps in '08

How to win in '08? Take away Democrats' base. Their anti-war left. Without this vote, a member of the Democrat Party cannot be elected as president and the rest on down will fail.

How then to take away their base?

This gets even better because it keeps all of the Democrat Party off balance for the next two years.

Ask each and every elected Democrat Party member this question. "You said if you were elected that you would bring the troops home. Why have you not done this?

The actual answer as to why they have not and will not is Americans believe we can still win in Iraq (indeed, we are winning in spite of what the nice TV tells us). Americans want to win. We hate to lose and we hate to lose a war even more.

Asking this question of elected Democrats keeps their liberal base agitated and they're easily stirred up anyway. All emotions and no logic.

The elected Democrats do not have the courage to vote to bring the troops home or cut funding. If they ran on this platform for '06, let's ask them at each opportunity why they don't do what they said. Become single issue questioners and the Democrats will be defeated in '08.

Stay focused, don't let them distract or deflect, and they will lose.

Negotiation 101: Iran

Among the many requirements for successful negotiation, the fundamental requirement for a successful outcome is that the other party can be trusted to fulfill their negotiated obligation.

Negotiate with a person who denies the Holocaust, says he wants to annihilate Israel, and makes it clear that he wants to obtain a nuclear bomb? Probably not a good idea. The result will be a nuke (or more) exploding somewhere in the middle east or in an American city or cities.

The President seemed to understand this when there was public pressure to talk with Iran's President Ahmadinejad and he refused. He resisted when the Iraq Study Group also recommended the same.

Now, we are going to talk to Iran. The goal is to persuade Iran to not build nukes. Fortunately, the President knows the scoop. No matter what Ahmadinejad says for public consumption, he will build a nuke and he will use it.

Ahmadinijad's branch of islam* believes they must help along what we call Armageddon. You just know he's going to create the mother of all world wars if he gets a nuke.

So, the ostensible reason the president directed discussions with Iran is to level with them. Stop your nuclear ambitions or we will destroy you. This language, Ahmadinejad understands. These discussions provide cover should we have to attack Iran. The president can say that we have explored all diplomatic options.

One cruise missile is all it takes and Ahmadinejad is out of power. We wouldn't have to invade.

Sure, a war with Iran is not ideal but letting them obtain a nuke is unthinkable and irresponsible.

It seems Tovarisch Gore founded a sort of energy company that explores sources of alternative energy. Of course, this company has outside investors. Stockholders, in other words.

So, Al Gore's carbon offset purchases are in reality going to his own company. He is buying stock in his own company and claiming his carbon offset purchases somehow negate his energy hypocrisy!

What a better world it would be to have another Justice Thomas on the bench. Hypocrite Hillary D. Rodham's Senior Thesis

Hillary D. Rodham's (Clinton) senior thesis at Wellesley college was about the radical leftist agitator, Saul D. Alinsky.

In her (Rodham's) paper, she accepted Alinsky's view that the problem of the poor isn't so much a lack of money as a lack of power. She also accepted his view of federal anti-poverty programs as ineffective. Alinsky felt the War on Poverty was a “prize piece of political pornography.”
Rodham wrote in reference to the War on Poverty, “A cycle of dependency has been created which ensnares its victims into resignation and apathy.”

There you have it, what Republicans have been saying for years. Welfare creates a vicious cycle of dependency. No wonder the Clinton Whitehouse demanded Wellesley College prohibit public viewing of Rodham's senior thesis.

She further went on to argue against big government in a 1993 interview with The Washington Post. In a contradiction to her health care program under development at the time, the first lady characterized her college writing as an argument against big government, supporting Alinsky's criticism of the War on Poverty programs. “I basically argued that he was right,” she told the newspaper. “Even at that early stage I was against all these people who come up with these big government programs that were more supportive of bureaucracies than actually helpful to people. You know, I've been on this kick for 25 years.”

This is the woman who would become president of the United States admitting that the Democrat Party, her party, creates a cycle of dependency with failed policies. Some call this cycle of dependency modern day slavery. Once becoming beholden to the Democrat Party's welfare money, people give up on advancing themselves in life.

Her single goal is power and she will say and do anything to achieve power.

The reported arrest of at least one top Taliban leader in Quetta, Pakistan may be the first sign that Vice President Dick Cheney's trip there this week worked.

Pakistani officials identified one of the men as Mullah Obaidullah Akhund, considered the third in command of the Taliban.

The arrest reportedly came only hours after Vice President Cheney left Pakistan, after confronting President Pervez Musharraf with "compelling evidence" of the resurgence of the Taliban and al Qaeda in Pakistan.

"His arrest would be huge, if confirmed," said Barnett Rubin, a New York University professor who testified today before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the resurgence of the Taliban in Pakistan.

It was the first time Pakistan had arrested a senior leader of the Islamist militia since it was driven from power in Afghanistan in 2001, and thousands of its fighters fled into Pakistan.As ABC News has reported, the failure of Musharraf government to actively pursue Taliban leaders has long been a sore subject with U.S. officials.

Intelligence sources said Akhund may know the secret whereabouts of Taliban leader Mullah Omar, and perhaps of Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahri.

In the 1990s, Akhund served as the military liaison between the Taliban and the Pakistan's security service, the ISI, which has been accused of sheltering Taliban leaders since the U.S. invasion.

The Democrap Party wishes American and Allied troops to withdraw from Iraq. Their theory is withdrawal will make us more safe.

Recently, the British stated they were going to withdraw a number of troops from Iraq. There was great joy and rejoicing in the American Democrap Party at the intellectual superiority of the British.

Not trumpeted in the news was the fact that the British were going to send about the same number of troops to Afghanistan as were withdrawn from Iraq.

If we were to follow faulty logic of the Democrap Party, that withdrawal would please the terrorists, Britain should face no threats.

Global Warming Myth: Greenland's Glaciers are Shrinking

Al Gore's mockumentary, Inconvenient Truth, led the gullible to believe that New York City would be under 20 feet of ice by the year 2100. Even the United Nation's IPCC report had the increase of the world's oceans, at worst, to increase by seven inches in this time.

To real truth that is inconvenient to Mr. Bore, is satellite date showed Greenland was losing about 25 cubic miles of ice per year. This equates to about 0.4% per century.

Let us not forget that once, the Midwest of the United States, was under a sheet of ice a mile thick. That ice all melted long before the industrial age.

Science last month published a paper showing Greenland's ice loss had suddenly reversed. Perhaps that was due to Al Gore purchasing carbon offsets!

Science in another study found that ice was accumulating on Greenland's interior glaciers. 1

The National Center for Policy Analysis last year released a study that "average summer temperatures at the summit of the Greenland ice sheet have decreased 4 degrees Fahrenheit per decade since the late 1980s."

Lord Christoper Monckton, a environmental analyst from the UK, says the Greenland ice sheet "grew an average extra thickness of 2 inches a year" from 19930 to 2003.

The simple fact is Greenland was warmer when Eric the Red arrived in 986 with settlers. They had grape vines, cattle, grains, and other normal farming and horticultural activities. Then, the Little Ice Age began about the year 1400. Glaciers came and the vikings all but left.

We are in a natural cycle the Earth seems to undergo. Mars seems to be in this same phase according to NASA experiments.

With any luck, perhaps there will be new vinters producing some fine wines in Greenland.

There are no Democrap presidential candidates who "have a plan" to win the war in Iraq. All of them seem to want to lose.

There is not much action from the Republican side of the aisle either among the stated candidates.

This is mystifying for several reasons: although leaders are elected to lead and not follow polls, the polls do show Americans want to win in Iraq. The polls also show Americans still believe we can win.

The real reason to win is yes, indeed, defeat there will cause the terrorists to attack us here. They (terrorists) have said they will.

We thus find it discouraging that the main reason Sarkozy is trailing in the polls to mademoiselle Royal is that voters are "worried" by Sarkozy's tough stance on immigration and crime.

Following the Paris riots and the fact that Paris police are unable to enter muslim* neighborhoods without legitimate and probable fear of their lives, it would stand to reason that voters would want security and so elect Sarkozy.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year. (Let's not forget Comrade Gore's energy use for private jets to travel all over the world to lecture the little people - ed.)

Believe this; no one that I know of desires a war with Iran.

Your president, Ahmadinejad, is determined to obtain a nuclear device. Because of statements he has made threatening Israel, and because the possibility of islamic fanatics obtaining a nuclear bomb is great, it is likely one or more of the Allied militaries will attack you to destroy your country's nuclear capabilities. This attack should come if diplomacy fails.

There also seems to be a substantial amount of weapons traced to Iran that have killed our military personnel. These weapons may come from a rogue group of you Revolutionary Guards but if these weapons came from your government, this is an act of war. For this reason alone, we would be justified in attacking Iran.

We in the west, seriously, wish all the citizens of the world to have the freedoms and prosperity that we enjoy in America. These freedoms and prosperity will not be yours unless you demand them, and if necessary, as in our own American Revolution, seize that which is the right of all men. Freedom.

Should America or another coalition country attack you, please help the attackers even if it is Israel. Yes, even if it is Israel.

Your students openly protested your president several months ago no doubt at risk of their lives and the lives of their families. This Sunday, Al Gore will probably win an Academy Award for his global-warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth, a riveting work of science fiction.

The main point of the movie is that, unless we do something very serious, very soon about carbon dioxide emissions, much of Greenland’s 630,000 cubic miles of ice is going to fall into the ocean, raising sea levels over twenty feet by the year 2100.

Where’s the scientific support for this claim? Certainly not in the recent Policymaker’s Summary from the United Nations’ much anticipated compendium on climate change. Under the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s medium-range emission scenario for greenhouse gases, a rise in sea level of between 8 and 17 inches is predicted by 2100. Gore’s film exaggerates the rise by about 2,000 percent.

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran said Saturday that the United States was not in a position to take military action against it and urged Washington and its allies to engage in dialogue.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters Saturday "We do not see America in a position to impose another crisis on its tax payers inside America by starting another war in the region."

Oh, now that there are air craft carriers in the Gulf with at least one more on the way and with U.S. troops on all sides of Iran, now they want to talk?

Talking, to them, is a way to stall for time. The UN inspectors just found that Iran was in violation in regards to their nuclear program. Some naive people will continue to demand that the U.S. talks to Iran.

Iran believes the leftists' propaganda that we are too heavily extended. Dream again, Iran. At the minimum we can attack with cruise missiles, fighters, bombers, and the navy's big guns from destroyers. US Seniors Kill Costa Rican Mugger In Self Defense

One of the tourists, a retired member of the U.S. military aged about 70, put assailant Warner Segura in a head lock and broke his clavicle after the 20-year-old and two other men armed with a knife and gun held up their tour bus Wednesday, said Luis Hernandez, the police chief of Limon, 80 miles east of San Jose.

The two other men fled when the 12 senior citizens started defending themselves. The tourists then drove Segura to the Red Cross where the man was declared dead. The Red Cross also treated one of the tourists for an anxiety attack, Hernandez said.

Vice President Dick Cheney refused Friday to take back his charge that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's opposition to President Bush's Iraq war buildup is playing into the hands of the al-Qaida terrorist network.

"If you're going to advocate a course of action that basically is withdrawal of our forces from Iraq, then you don't get to just do the fun part of that, that says, 'We'll, we're going to get out,' and appeal to your constituents on that basis," Cheney said.

The vice president had voiced the same criticism of Pelosi earlier this week during a visit to Japan, and the California Democrat accused the vice president of questioning her patriotism, saying she was going to call President Bush directly with her complaint.

"I hope the president will repudiate and distance himself from the vice president's remarks," Pelosi said. She ended up talking with White House chief of staff Josh Bolten instead of Bush.

The long-distance quarrel began in Tokyo, where Cheney earlier this week used an interview to criticize Pelosi and Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., over their plan to place restrictions on Bush's request for an additional $93 billion for the Iraq war to make it difficult or impossible to send 21,500 extra troops to Iraq.

During Friday's interview in Sydney, Cheney said, "I'm not sure what part of it is that Nancy disagreed with. She accused me of questioning her patriotism. I didn't question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment."

"You also have to be accountable for the results. What are the consequences of that? What happens if we withdraw from Iraq?," he said. "And the point I made and I'll make it again is that al-Qaida functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That's their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we'll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of al-Qaida. I said it and I meant it."

Asked if he was willing to take back his criticism of Pelosi, Cheney replied, "I'm not backing down."

Hillary was recently quoted "I want personal health care by the end of my second term." The context appeared to be the end of her second presidential term, not her senate term.

Two problems are obvious:

1) Hillarycare will return. Remember the arrogance and hidden meetings in 1992 when Hillary and Ira Magaziner tried to bring massive socialism to America? It will be worse this time.

2) Hillary, I don't know how to break it to you, but you have to first be elected before you can have a second term. You can't be appointed and you certainly can't be crowned president. You are not entitled to being elected, you have to earn it. I think most Americans agree that you will never be president.

Russian president Putin, while keeping us guessing as to whether Ivanov or Medvedev will be his successor (perhaps he is keeping them guessing too, Ala Joseph Stalin - perhaps neither will survive), apparently encouraged one of his generals to saber rattle against the west. This in response to the plans of the United States to place an anti-missile defense shield in Poland and the Czech Republic. The missile shield is intended as a defense against missiles from the Middle East and are no threat to Russia.

While not returning entirely to cold war rhetoric and belligerence, Russia in recent years under Putin has pushed the envelope.

No more do western Europeans view those in eastern Europe with experience under Russian (Soviet) rule as paranoid. The assassination of Litvinenko and Russia's new economic weapon, natural gas have awakened those in the west to the threat from the east.

Russia probably feels inferior in regards to this missile defense system. They believed the American leftists' propaganda calling Ronald Reagan crazy for his Star Wars plan and apparently did not develop their own effective missile shields. They also miss the days of being a superpower.

Although we need to pay attention to Russia and work with them as allies, Putin is not a person we can absolutely trust. Putin was trained to evade lie detectors. The president should receive no criticism for his early trust of Putin. Putin would likely be able to deceive nearly anyone.

Russia is not in a position to attack militarily other than in a nuclear conflict but with their resources, they must be taken seriously and dealt with. The Russian General's statements drove Poland and the Czech Republic to us as a stronger ally. The missile defense shield should go ahead as planned.

A manic muslim* cabdriver from Somalia went on a rampage after getting into an argument over the false religion of islam. The two innocent passengers were students visiting Nashville and were engaged in an apparently harmless conversation about religion with the cabdriver.

Upon exiting the cab and paying their fare, the students attempted to leave peacefully. The cab driver put his car in gear, jumped a curb, and struck the innocent kids.

The beserk driver was arrested and charged with assault and attempted homicide. Police also discovered the license plates on his car were stolen. He was then charged with theft.

The cab driver committed a hate crime and further illustrating the false religion of islam, the driver demonstrated no morals as he had allegedly stole the license plates.

Today is President's Day in the United States.

President's Day arose from the February birthdays of president Washington and president Lincoln. Now, it is celebrated (officially) for all presidents. Unfortunately, most Americans view this day as simply another day off of they're in government or banking.

From a historical perspective with a view of current politics, it's interesting to note that George Washington wished to join the British army as a young man. The British rejected him as not good enough.

We all know Continental General Washington proved the British wrong and eventually trapped Lord Cornwallis between the continental army and the French Navy.

General Washington became president Washington and is celebrated as the father of our country.

Abraham Lincoln was vilified in the north and the south. Hard to believe, but there were more vitriolic statements against president Lincoln than even president Bush today.

Likewise, even though we faced a terrible group of enemies in World War II, and the nation was more patriotic then, president Roosevelt faced harsh criticism at home.

Ronald Reagan was ridiculed and mocked. Now, with perspective, we view Roosevelt and Reagan as the greatest presidents of the last century. Ronald Reagan statues are being erected in cities and towns all over the former satellite countries of the Soviet Union such as Poland and the Czech Republic.

Today, we honor all presidents, past and current. To president Bush, history will view you favorably. Countries in the middle east will one day erect statues in your honor and American school children will learn of your presidency while most of the rest of us will respect your memory and honor the leadership you projected despite the best efforts of some to destroy your presidency.

This erroneous story was apparently first reported in the London Guardian. The headline was "Scientists Offer Cash to Dispute Climate Study." The allegation in the story was that the conservative-leaning think tank in Washington, D.C., the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), received money from ExxonMobil and then offered the $10,000 reward to debunk global warming.

Then, the British Independent ran with the same story followed later by the Washington Post, and CNNMoney.com

There are a few factual errors:

AEI does not lobby. AEI did not offer money to question global warming. Money for climate research did not come from ExxonMobil.

Seems in their rush to judgement, the media piled lie upon lie.

Who did seem to be behind all of these lies? It appears that Greenpeace, the extreme leftist organization first planted the story with the London Guardian.

Swallowing these lies without scepticism, U.S. Senators including the usual left-wing wackos, Leahy, Kerry, and Feinstein, sent a letter to AEI president Chris DeMuth complaining "should these reports be accurate," then "it would highlight the extent to which moneyed interests distort honest scientific and public policy discussions...Does your donors' self interest trump an honest discusson over the well-being of the planet?"

If Greenpeace was, indeed, behind the planting of this false story, a reasonable person may question when Greenpeace will receive a letter from the U.S. Senators asking if their self-interest trumps an honest discussion over the well-being of taxpayers.

John Edwards hired two bloggers for his campaign. These staffers had, on their own personal web sites, made anti-Catholic statements that could also clearly be read as anti-Christian statements.

Some of their rants were rather vulgar and extremely angry. When publicly revealed, John Edwards attempted to defend the indefensible. Had these same staffers made anti-black statements or anti-Islamic rantings, they would have been fired.

These staffers finally yet defiantly had the good sense to resign from the Edwards campaign. In this fundamental test of the candidate's chief executive skills, Mr. Edwards showed he does not have the chief executive skills required of a president. The unfortunate result is he, along with Barack Hussein Osama Obama's doomed candidacy, have made it more likely that Hillary Clinton with be the Democrat Party's nominee.

Mr. Edwards, go back to your extreme mansion in the top half of your two Americas. You have failed again and now do not have the tired monotone John Kerry to blame. You can only blame yourself for your failure.

Lesson of History, "Never Again" ignored and forgotten

Following WWII and the Nazi atrocities, it was said that we (humanity) would learn the lessons of History. "Never again" would Jews be attacked and killed and never again would world governments allow a madman to arise in their midst and create havoc.

It seems the phrase "Never again" was forgotten.

Iranian president Ahmadenejad has promised to "...wipe Israel off of the map." He has further stated that the holocaust never happened. The world stands by while this nutcase continues stalling the naive. Stalling for time to complete his nuclear bombs and fulfill the prophesy of his extreme branch of the extreme Islam religion.

Iran will build nuclear weapons and there is nothing that can be done about it, according to an internal EU document mentioned in the attached Financial Times link.

As we already know through captured Iranian soldiers and spies in Iraq, president Ahmadenejad's public promises (Islamic nutcases and terrorists do not make threats, they make promises), and with forensic information obtained from exploded IED's in Iraq, Iraq is already at war with the United States.

The EU says there is nothing that can be done to stop Iran. This is the impotent EU that would talk to a madman. A madman, such as Ahmadenejad can only be killed or captured like Sadaam Hussein.

Thus, unless the Iranian people overthrow Ahmadenejad, war against Iran is the only solution. It is not a good solution but probably the only solution.

If we are to learn the lessons of History, Ahmadenejad must be stopped now when the costs in lives, money, and perhaps the livability of lands due to nuclear fallout is less than if we wait.

These people are politicized scientists who arrive there with a one-sided opinion and a one-sided assignment. Also, it's an undignified slapstick that people don't wait for the full report in May 2007 but instead respond, in such a serious way, to the summary for policymakers where all the "but's" are scratched, removed, and replaced by oversimplified theses.

Richard Branson's $25,000,000 prize offer

Billionaire British entrepreneur, Richard Branson, owner of Virgin Airlines among other companies, recently offered a $25 million reward for the best idea to curb global warming.

At least Mr. Branson did not require or ask a government (always funded by taxpayers) to fund his prize. He is putting up his own money.

I have a solution. How about grounding your airlines, Mr. Branson?

John Edwards' "Two Americas"

Perhaps John Edwards' leftist rhetoric so gullibly believed by voters in 2004 was right. Perhaps there are "two Americas" consisting of the rich and the poor.

Mr. Edwards' new home in North Carolina sits on 102 acres. The main house has 10,400 sq. ft. The "recreation house" is connected to the main house and has 15,600 sq. ft. with a basketball court, squash court, two states, a bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms, and a swimming pool.

Good for him. As a capitalist, I harbor no jealousy towards those who succeed in America. Even slimy leftist trial lawyers.

But hypocrisy and leftist rhetoric is another thing. I know of which America Mr. Edwards belongs. May the voters also realize this at election time.

Artic Ice Shelf Collapse and Antartica

In a report that apparently escaped the media, the Antartic Ice Shelf at the South Pole increased by about 8%. They must have been too busy lamenting the decrease of the Artic Ice Shelf that supports their global warming mantra.

Temperatures from 1940 to 1975 went down while global levels of CO2 increased. The media towards the end of that period hysterically told us the world was undergoing global cooling.

The media and the scientists' predictions of that time were wrong. They are also now wrong in regards to so-called global warming.

The media and Al Bore would have us believe that global warming sceptics are crackpots and are in the minority. This is hardly the case. 19,000 (not a misprint) respected climatologists signed a declaration that rejects Gore’s accusation that the rise of greenhouse gasses is caused by mankind’s use of fossil fuels.

Incidentally, if Al Bore's figures in his movie are to believed, the period in which the greatest global warming occurred was during the eight years that he was VP of the United States.

Several scientific facts that probably no scientist disputes is that 95% of the so-called greenhouse gases are water vapor. The principal by-product of man's alleged global warming contribution is CO2. Carbon dioxide. Plants require carbon dioxide to live. Coupled with water and sunlight, plants produce O2 (oxygen) that all animals including humans require.

One could have a laugh creating a hysterical movement parodying the global warming crowd stating that the left wants to kill humans because they want to remove the CO2 that plants require to make the O2 that we need. But I digress.

In reality, the left and those from developing countries are slyly promoting socialism because they want to weaken capitalist countries.

Oh, they won't admit it, but the Kyoto Protocol requires a reduction in the so-called greenhouse gases by either a reduction in manufacturing from the "rich" countries like America or the exchange of energy credits.

There is no similar requirement from some of the worst polluters such as China.

China, by their own government's admission, says smog has placed about a third of their country under acid rain with 90% (not a misprint) of their water sources polluted or overused. Typically, communist governments gloss over troubles so the situation is likely worse.

Do leftists really want to drag us down to the level of China?

Yes, they do.

The other option for "rich" countries is to exchange energy credits. A transfer of wealth in both cases to the disadvantage of developed countries. Socialism.
