More Military Deaths In Four Years Of Clinton Administration Than Iraq War

All deaths are tragic but particularly so the deaths of America's military personnel. The media has an obsession with each death but their purpose is to embarrass president Bush. To put things in perspective, please see the following link from Rush Limbaugh's web site based on an article from Alicia Colon in the New York Sun.

“The total military dead in the Iraq war between 2003 and this month stands at about 3,133."

The Clinton years:
"1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996. That's 4,417 deaths in peacetime..."

The Carter years:
"...you will find that in 1980, which was the last year of the Carter administration, there were far more military deaths in 1980 than in any year of the Bush administration."

Remember, statistics or numbers have no value unless there is a unit of measurement or a comparison of data or both. We learn this in the first month of the first semester of statistics. Too bad members of the media were taking journalism classes while some of us took math and science classes. Such coursework also explains the global warming hysteria.

Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher, Statue Unveiled

Former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, affectionately known as the Iron Lady, is being immortalized with an 8 foot (2.44m) statue of her in the British House of Commons.

Rightly so and a long time coming.

Lady Thatcher was a leader of strong principles. Once committed to a cause like true leaders such as former U.S. president Reagan and current president Bush, Lady Thatcher followed through. She ignored polls and did what was right. Where would the world be if not for her, Ronald Reagan, Lech Walesa, and former Pope John Paul's vocal confrontation of the evils of communism?

Margaret Thatcher is a role model for any person who wants to lead unlike some who would be U.S. president. Lady Thatcher stood for something and that is refreshing in comparison to a Clinton.

Tokyo Rose, traitors, and the Democrat Party

There were several recent articles on the Internet in regards to Tokyo Rose of Japanese WWII infamy regarding the main points of her broadcasts. Tokyo Rose made psy-ops (psychological operations) radio broadcasts to demoralize American military personnel. Two of the three items mentioned on the Internet were the actual themes of her broadcasts.

What the Japanese found was that they could achieve some level of success in demoralizing troops by focusing on three main concepts in these broadcasts. These three main topics were: 1) the president is lying, 2) the big corporations are profiting from the war, and 3) you are not winning.

The lieberals’ mantra of "Bush lied," “Halliburton (or insert name of any company supporting the war effort) is profiting by the war, and "we are not winning and can't win" also mimics Tokyo Rose's broadcast theme. These irresponsible, misguided, and naive comments not only demoralize our troops, but also give aid and comfort to our enemies. These comments give our enemies hope to hold on until some American politicians and media can win the war for the terrorists. These comments provide the catalyst for new attacks.

Worse, there are some Republicans angling for a presidential run who are publicly stating these untruthful comments.

All of this illustrates that what is old is new and some will stop at nothing to help terrorists win the war on terror solely for their political gain.
