Negotiation 101: Iran

Among the many requirements for successful negotiation, the fundamental requirement for a successful outcome is that the other party can be trusted to fulfill their negotiated obligation.

Negotiate with a person who denies the Holocaust, says he wants to annihilate Israel, and makes it clear that he wants to obtain a nuclear bomb? Probably not a good idea. The result will be a nuke (or more) exploding somewhere in the middle east or in an American city or cities.

The President seemed to understand this when there was public pressure to talk with Iran's President Ahmadinejad and he refused. He resisted when the Iraq Study Group also recommended the same.

Now, we are going to talk to Iran. The goal is to persuade Iran to not build nukes. Fortunately, the President knows the scoop. No matter what Ahmadinejad says for public consumption, he will build a nuke and he will use it.

Ahmadinijad's branch of islam* believes they must help along what we call Armageddon. You just know he's going to create the mother of all world wars if he gets a nuke.

So, the ostensible reason the president directed discussions with Iran is to level with them. Stop your nuclear ambitions or we will destroy you. This language, Ahmadinejad understands. These discussions provide cover should we have to attack Iran. The president can say that we have explored all diplomatic options.

One cruise missile is all it takes and Ahmadinejad is out of power. We wouldn't have to invade.

Sure, a war with Iran is not ideal but letting them obtain a nuke is unthinkable and irresponsible.

*We do not capitalize anything associated with islam until when, and if, their believers decide to rejoin the human race.

Islamic Republic Of Iran

This is a message to the people of Iran. I notice an astounding number of readers of this blog live in the Islamic Republic of Iran (and also readers from China).

Believe this; no one that I know of desires a war with Iran.

Your president, Ahmadinejad, is determined to obtain a nuclear device. Because of statements he has made threatening Israel, and because the possibility of islamic fanatics obtaining a nuclear bomb is great, it is likely one or more of the Allied militaries will attack you to destroy your country's nuclear capabilities. This attack should come if diplomacy fails.

There also seems to be a substantial amount of weapons traced to Iran that have killed our military personnel. These weapons may come from a rogue group of you Revolutionary Guards but if these weapons came from your government, this is an act of war. For this reason alone, we would be justified in attacking Iran.

We in the west, seriously, wish all the citizens of the world to have the freedoms and prosperity that we enjoy in America. These freedoms and prosperity will not be yours unless you demand them, and if necessary, as in our own American Revolution, seize that which is the right of all men. Freedom.

Should America or another coalition country attack you, please help the attackers even if it is Israel. Yes, even if it is Israel.

Your students openly protested your president several months ago no doubt at risk of their lives and the lives of their families. I know it is easy for me to write and advise you to help any military that wishes to throw off the chains holding you from freedom. I fully understand the risks you would face. In spite of the harsh rhetoric against islam on this blog, I have many Persian friends. The harsh rhetoric is targeted towards the extremists.

At the minimum, do nothing to harm coalition aircraft or soldiers and Ahmadinejad may be removed by more mainstream people in your country.

But, if you do nothing when the time comes and your president remains in power, you may lose more freedoms. You then have only yourself to blame if you did not demand your freedoms.

Iran Scared

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran said Saturday that the United States was not in a position to take military action against it and urged Washington and its allies to engage in dialogue.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters Saturday "We do not see America in a position to impose another crisis on its tax payers inside America by starting another war in the region."

Oh, now that there are air craft carriers in the Gulf with at least one more on the way and with U.S. troops on all sides of Iran, now they want to talk?

Talking, to them, is a way to stall for time. The UN inspectors just found that Iran was in violation in regards to their nuclear program. Some naive people will continue to demand that the U.S. talks to Iran.

Iran believes the leftists' propaganda that we are too heavily extended. Dream again, Iran. At the minimum we can attack with cruise missiles, fighters, bombers, and the navy's big guns from destroyers. A well-timed cruise missile, and little Hitler is gone and the course of History is returned to peace.

Think carefully, Iran.

Lesson of History, "Never Again" ignored and forgotten

Following WWII and the Nazi atrocities, it was said that we (humanity) would learn the lessons of History. "Never again" would Jews be attacked and killed and never again would world governments allow a madman to arise in their midst and create havoc.

It seems the phrase "Never again" was forgotten.

Iranian president Ahmadenejad has promised to "...wipe Israel off of the map." He has further stated that the holocaust never happened. The world stands by while this nutcase continues stalling the naive. Stalling for time to complete his nuclear bombs and fulfill the prophesy of his extreme branch of the extreme Islam religion.

Iran will build nuclear weapons and there is nothing that can be done about it, according to an internal EU document mentioned in the attached Financial Times link.

As we already know through captured Iranian soldiers and spies in Iraq, president Ahmadenejad's public promises (Islamic nutcases and terrorists do not make threats, they make promises), and with forensic information obtained from exploded IED's in Iraq, Iraq is already at war with the United States.

The EU says there is nothing that can be done to stop Iran. This is the impotent EU that would talk to a madman. A madman, such as Ahmadenejad can only be killed or captured like Sadaam Hussein.

Thus, unless the Iranian people overthrow Ahmadenejad, war against Iran is the only solution. It is not a good solution but probably the only solution.

If we are to learn the lessons of History, Ahmadenejad must be stopped now when the costs in lives, money, and perhaps the livability of lands due to nuclear fallout is less than if we wait.

Israel has the right to exist. If we mindlessly chant slogans of "never again" without defense, then we are more foolish than those who stood by when Hitler rose to power. Neville Chamberlin was proved wrong. Now, we have many Neville Chamberlins in the Democrat Party. The Obama's, Clinton's, Gore's, Kerry's, and others are just as naive as Chamberlin but more dangerous due to modern armaments.

Stop Ahmadenejad now before it is truly too late.

Iran and minimum wage

There is some good news for the citizens of Iran and for peaceful citizens of other countries for Iran’s president; Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is in political trouble. He succeeded in enacting an increase in Iran’s minimum wage. This minimum wage increase in turn, as it did in France and other countries, inevitably led to layoffs of the people the law was supposed to help.

Many people and politicians possess little grasp of the basics of economics. Yet, by studying the mistakes of other countries, they may let capitalism dictate supply and demand of wages. Capitalism may not be perfect, but capitalism is the best economic system invented.

Perhaps it is too much to ask for some politicians in the U.S. to learn from other countries’ mistakes and for the economic poor to cease being taken advantage of by politicians who harm them by “helping” them.
